Presenting your Technology at the WBTshowcase 2008
Does Your Company or Technology Qualify?
WHEN: March 26-27, 2008
WHERE: Arlington-DFW
Now in
its sixth year, the WBTshowcase continues to bring together the
most active seed-stage venture investors and Fortune 500 licensing
scouts from coast to coast, connecting them with the most promising
pre-screened, and mentored technologies ready for licensing &
investment capital.
Often we are asked if a specific technology or company
is the right "fit" for the Showcase. Ideally, attending investors
and licensees seek technologies that are "disruptive" in nature.
That is, the underlying technology or innovation can realistically
create new markets or materially change an existing market. To get
a sense of how your technology or company might match the interests
of participating venture investors and Fortune 500 licensees, I
would encourage you to view summary descriptions of past presenters
- over 300 companies and research institutions - that have since
raised over $400 Million in private equity or succeeded in licensing
their technologies.
If you are seriously seeking first round private equity or a licensing
partner with a Fortune 500 company, the WBTshowcase offers you the
opportunity to get exposed to the most active investors and licensees
right from the start - with the review of a brief, online submission
- at no cost. If you are selected, you will then have the opportunity
to work with a team of mentors in refining your investor-oriented
presentation to prepare you for an event where approximately half
of those visiting booths are bonafide investors and licensees.
