South Dakota Engineering Accelerator program hosts ‘lunch and learn’ for Giant Vision Business Plan Competition

Rapid City, South Dakota – Business Teams that are participating in the South Dakota Engineering Accelerator program participated in a lunch and learn on Thursday, February 4th at the Black Hills Business Development Center.  

The program allowed the teams to ask questions related to the Governor’s Giant Vision Business Plan Competition before the competition deadline.  The attendees were briefed on the competition details, submission deadline, and engaged in a discussion to better prepare their business plans for the competition.  Over thirty attendees participated in the discussion and plan to submit to the competition.  

The finalists selected to the Governor’s Giant Vision Business Plan Competition will compete for up to $20,000 in prize money on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  More information can be found at http://www.southdakotagiantvision.com/.

About the South Dakota Engineering Accelerator:

The South Dakota Engineering Accelerator assists high-growth potential engineering projects in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. The ten teams, consisting of student projects from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, went through an intensive week-long business boot camp this past summer. The teams have also worked with business experts and mentors during the past year. The goal of the program is to identify and launch new high-growth businesses and to create knowledge-based jobs in South Dakota.

About the Enterprise Institute:
