The Enterprise Institute was funded initially by SDSU Foundation Board members, entrepreneurs and business leaders to provide services to inventors, researchers and entrepreneurs in the region. In addition, grants were received from the Citigroup Foundation, Governor's Future Fund, USDA and the Governor's Office of Economic Development that helped to move the project forward.
The generous donations have continued to support the work of the Enterprise Institute. Our goal is for the Enterprise Institute to become self-sustaining. Fee for service contracts as well as equity agreements in exchange for our customized services in high-growth projects will help us reach this goal.
