"Innovation Expo™" offers a day of inspiration for entrepreneurs
The Enterprise Institute in partnership with the Governor's Office of Economic Development has planned a day of inspiration for entrepreneurs, inventors, service providers, vendors and industry colleagues Wednesday, October 19 at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center off I-29 in Sioux Falls.
Innovation ExpoT 2005: Where Innovation Meets Industry!T starts at 9 AM with presentations on topics critical to starting a business. Experienced innovators and officials address creating and launching a successful brand, finding state support programs, protecting products and ideas, funding with venture capital, licensing products and developing teams.
The daylong event makes the link between people, their ideas and some of the pieces necessary for success in business.
After morning presentations and a noon lunch featuring noted speakers, the adjacent Exhibit Hall offers an array of vendor and service provider booths interspersed among booths of entrepreneurs.
In the Exhibit Hall, short, workshops will be given throughout the afternoon on topics of interest like accounting systems, patents, the Governor's Giant Vision Business Awards and financing as well as other vital issues.
The afternoon Exhibit Hall provides an atmosphere for building business ideas through hearing the presentation and discussion of various components for business along with viewing products and businesses of entrepreneurs, service providers and vendors.
Encouraging entrepreneurship in South Dakota is a critical part of the state's 2010 Initiative.
