Enterprise Institute Participates in Eastern South Dakota Science & Engineering Fair.
Enterprise Institute participated in the 54th annual Eastern South Dakota Science and Engineering Fair on March 28, 2008 on the SDSU campus. The fair promotes careers and the study of math, science, engineering and health care to an average of 500 middle school and high school students from the region.
Tim Weelborg, Assistant Director of Enterprise Institute and Vonnie Barnett, Assistant Director of Economic Intelligence viewed over 300 exhibits.
"I'm always so impressed with the quality and variety of projects. We look forward to this event each year" Barnett said.
Enterprise Institute awarded three cash awards and a Certificate of Oustanding Achievement to these three projects.
- Voice Fire Extinguisher - Kale Nelson from Elk Point - Jefferson High School.
- 2B or Not 2B - Sean McCluskey, Daniel Renner, and Cameron Green from West Central High School.
- Biodiesel: For the car, Home and Future - Whitney Owens and Mia Kornelis from Unity Christian High School.
