The Enterprise Institute is hosting an invention contest at Innovation Expo 2007 which will be held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.

How to Enter the Contest
Contestants can register for the contest by submitting a completed exhibitor registration form with the Whatchamacallit Invention Contest option checked and returning it either online (www.sdei.org) or via regular mail (815 Medary Ave, Suite 201, Brookings, SD 57006).

Entries must be received by October 10, 2007.

Judging Process and Criteria
Judges will interview contestants at their booths at Innovation Expo. Contestants should have a short ‘elevator speech’ prepared to explain their invention to the judges. Inventions will be judged on various factors related to innovativeness and commercial potential.

Awards
The Enterprise Institute and its sponsors are giving the following awards:

• 1st place - $2,000
• 2nd place - $1,000
• 3rd place - $500

Rules

• Contestants must complete an Invention Contest entry form and submit it to the
  Enterprise Institute by October 10, 2007.
• Contestants must be present and have a booth at Innovation Expo 2007 (booth
  registration available at entrepreneur rate of $100).
